This Privacy Policy explains how The Visionary Platform Ltd (“Stride”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the Stride application and related services (the “Service”). We are the data controller for that personal data.

We are based in the United Kingdom and process personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Stride — horse owners, riders, trainers, vets, farriers, stable managers and anyone who creates an account or interacts with the Service.

2. The information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

2.2 Information created by using the Service

2.3 Information collected automatically

We do not intentionally collect special-category data about you, and we do not sell your personal data.

Horse data and you. Information about a horse is generally data about an animal rather than a person. However, where horse information is linked to an identifiable user (for example, you as its owner), it may constitute your personal data, and we treat it as such under this policy.

4. AI features and how your data is processed

Stride’s AI features (HorseGPT, Stride Coach, Stride Vision, and Gait Analysis) work by sending the relevant inputs to AI providers that run the models on our behalf:

These providers process the data only to provide the functionality you request and act as our processors/sub-processors. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private uploads or content to train our own — or any public — AI models unless we explicitly tell you and obtain your consent.

Important — not veterinary or medical advice. Stride’s AI outputs are observations and computed metrics, not a veterinary diagnosis. They may be incomplete or wrong. Always consult a qualified veterinary professional for any clinical decision about an animal’s health.

We never fabricate population-level comparisons (e.g. rarity/percentiles) from a single horse — these are shown as unavailable until a genuine opted-in dataset exists.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal data only with service providers (“processors”) who help us run Stride, and only as needed:

Some providers are outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. UK adequacy/International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses).

We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition).

6. How long we keep your data

7. How we protect your data

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) — though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

AI and upload controls. You can also ask us to delete specific items you have provided — including uploaded photos and video clips, and your AI interaction history (HorseGPT / Coach questions and Vision / Gait submissions) — without deleting your whole account.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and we’ll respond within the legal timeframe (normally one month).

9. Children

Stride is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice (e.g. in-app or by email).
